While “SHOP LOCAL” is fine, I think that there needs to be a little more eye-catching marketing involved. I already have a bike, so why not offer me something to be curious about.
I asked the owner in the store that I was what she thought about “SHOP LOCAL”. Does it really work? Does that appeal to people? She said yes, and explained what I already knew. When you buy local, it keeps the money circulating at least 7 more times. In other words, it sustains more than just one business and the city's tax coffers.
